快樂甘泉／Happy Oasis

疑問：「我們回倫敦單程不到一萬台幣耶！」「啥！」媽媽表現出的反應和我們乍聽消息時的一樣。
事實：甘泉香港航空有限公司由香港的一對李姓牧師夫婦創辦，理念是讓所有的人都坐得起飛機，就像 Google 創辦理念是資訊普及一樣。這家平價航空公司中，單程最便宜的票只要 1000 港幣。

疑問：「搞不好是用爛飛機！」媽媽急得雙眼突出，深怕我們葬身海底。甘泉 10 月底才首航，經驗似乎不足，其實不只我媽媽擔心，很多想搭的朋友也滿心懷疑。
事實：甘泉用的是購自新加坡航空公司的二手飛機，一路四平八穩，幾趟亂流洪侃手心都沒嚇出汗來。

疑問：「行李怎辦？該不會得出關領行李再進關吧？」洪侃眉毛垮成「八」。
事實：到香港後，到 E1 區的甘泉櫃檯亮出行李牌，告知有行李必須處理即可。若是搭凌晨 1:30 的飛機，櫃檯要到 9PM 才開，請先在 E1 區等。

疑問：「飛機上八成沒有吃的，而且服務會很爛」，Johnny 如是警告，表情有一點得意。
事實：飛機上和藹可親的空服員總共為我們送上了兩次餐點，份量不大，胃口好的人建議自己帶乾糧，不然飛機上也可以點飲料和食物。每次有兩種選擇，一次是港式點心或鮪魚三明治，另一次是香菇炒麵或英式早餐。基於一貫的冒險精神，我和洪侃每次都分別點不同的餐，結論是請遠離點心和英式早餐。

疑問：「飛那麼久沒娛樂的話，包管無聊死」，Johnny 真的很開心。
事實：電影的選擇挺多，雖然全是舊片，我還是看得很高興。我重溫了 Finding Nemo，正式懷疑 Dori 這角色是根據我設計的。

疑問：「首航沒飛成，出發前最好查詢一下起飛狀況。」不虧是科學家，Bill 叔叔很冷靜的把我帶回現實。CNN、BBC 忠實閱聽人傅哥哥和 Ginger 也提醒我們。
事實：的確，不只首航有問題，後來幾班飛機都發生延誤，好在好人有好報，前兩天在客廳我決定放過眼前爬過的蟑螂，我們那班飛機奇蹟般的準時。但建議多查詢為妙。

Fact: Founded by a pastor and his wife, Oasis launched its first flight only late last month. The founders hope that everyone can afford to fly, and one one-way ticket costs only 1000HKD.

Doubt: “They may use outdated airplanes!” Mom is already picturing the worst--us buried in the ocean.
Fact: Oasis planes are purchased from Singapore Airline and despite several times of turbulence, HK’s palms remained dry.

Doubt: “What about baggages? Must we go through the customs, pick them up and then come back in again?” HK was so worried his eyebrows collapsed into ‘/ \”.
Fact: Just go to the Oasis counter in E1 after landing in Hong Kong, show your baggage tags and ask for baggage transfer. If taking a 1:30AM flight, just wait in E1 for their counter to open at about 9PM.

Doubt: “Probably no food and bad service,” Johnny warned with a fleeting glee.
Fact: We were served meal twice, though portions were small. Those with bigger stomach can order onboard or bring food themselves. Each time we were offered two choices. The first time was Cantonese dim sum or tuna sandwich, then mushroom stir-fried noodle or English breakfast. Adventurous in nature, we tried them all. Our suggestion: stay away from the dim sum and English breakfast.

Doubt: “Flight with no entertainment bores me to death.” Johnny looks really happy.
Fact: There were plenty of movie selections, though all pretty old. I enjoyed Finding Nemo again and am now officially confinced that they based the Dori character on me.

Doubt: “Their first flight failed. Better double check your flight.” A scientist is a scientist. Uncle Bill really brought me back to earth. Fu and Ginger also reminded us after watching the news on BCC.
Fact: Very true, subsequent flights were also delayed, but due to good karma that I earned for sparing a passing cockroach in the house the other day, our flight was on time. Our advice is still to really check your flight.
